This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to accessibility in every aspect of our design, services, and visitor engagement.
Building Access
The Hub is a two-level circular building featuring a viewing platform on the upper level. This can be accessed via a gently curved staircase or a wheelchair-accessible lift.
The ground floor entrance is step-free and features an automatic, wide-opening door for easy access. Inside, extra-wide hallways comfortably accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, and prams.
Lighting & Sensory Considerations
Lighting within the Hub is kept low to enhance the video displays, while hallways remain well-lit for safety and visibility.
Staff are happy to adjust lighting and sound levels to support visitors with sensory sensitivities.
There are no strobe lights, loud or sudden sound effects, or smoke effects used within the building.
Hearing Assistance
The Hub supports the Listen EVERYWHERE app to assist visitors with hearing impairments. iPods and headphones are available to borrow from the front desk.
Parking & Outdoor Access
Two accessible parking spaces are located directly in front of the Hub.
The pathway to the entrance is gravel and well-maintained. If assistance is required, our staff are ready to help—just call us on 1800 801 065.
Communication Assistance
Staff at the entrance are trained to assist visitors with communication barriers and have visual communication aids available to support your visit.
Assistance Animals
Registered assistance animals are warmly welcomed at the Hub.
Accessible Bathrooms
Accessible public toilets are available on-site. After exiting through the main doors, simply walk around to the right-hand side of the building for easy access.
For any additional accessibility information or to arrange assistance ahead of your visit, please contact us on 1800 801 065.
